The pictures above were taken during our first few sessions with the students during a "Getting to Know You Day" These are just a handful of the kids we worked with during the Spring 2009 semester. There were about a dozen students in this media group ranging from freshman to senior in high school.

The Many Looks of Far West Students...

Throughout the semester, one of the things that struck me about the students of Far West High in Oakland was their great sense of humor! 

Many of the short videos created by the students had humor in them... some were even powered mainly by the force of the laugh! Our group, which made three spoof commercial videos experienced many moments doubled over and tears running out of our eyes.
